We are excited to inform you that we’ve started shipping the first wave of Buddy “Companion” since January.
Thanks to you, Buddy has become a reality. This wouldn't have been possible without you!
We are pleased to share with you this video illustrating the different steps for the preparation of Buddy “Companion” expeditions in our premises.
And, for the very first delivery of Buddy “Companion” - Limited series n°1 -, we visited in person to give it to his “Strasbourg” adoptive family, represented by Jérémy, who was the first contributor to press the start button of our Indiegogo campaign. We filmed this encounter to immortalize this long-awaited moment and share it exclusively with you.
"I would like to thank Blue Frog Robotics for the arrival of our Buddy baby. We have been waiting for him for so long and we are delighted. My son Jules hugs him and plays with him. He is now part of our family and entertains kids and adults as well." says Jérémy.
A new step has been taken with this first deliveries still in progress, which will allow us to prepare well for the following ones, considering the first feedback received from the community.
We then plan successive shipping waves for all our contributors until the end of 2023.
We are also pleased to share some news about Buddy and BLUE FROG ROBOTICS.
We have a new application for you! VITTABUDDY!
Thanks to our collaboration with Vittascience, you will be able to learn coding as well as Artificial Intelligence (AI) quickly and easily.
We were seduced by Vittascience's free online educational platform because their objective is to transmit the taste for science and introduce everyone to programming. In a world where digital is becoming more and more important, it was important for us to offer you an advanced programming application on Buddy.
Now, thanks to the adaptation and integration of the Vittascience programming interface on Buddy, you will be able to start with block-based programming logic, then smoothly move to textual code (in python) to control motors and communicate with the different sensors (LEDs, cameras, microphones, ultrasound, infrared, touch, etc.) of your Buddy “Companion”.
The programming application is available both online as well as on the robot.
Online:
Thanks to the simulator, you visualize Buddy's behaviors (movement, obstacle detection, etc.) before transferring your program to your robot that will give life to your code!

On Buddy:
You can directly program on Buddy, and in collaborative and hybrid mode (online and physical).
Finally, the Artificial Intelligence application (available soon) will allow you to train your Buddy to recognize an image or a sound! Then, it would be very easy to set up “intelligent” interactions with your robot, which can, for example, react by seeing a particular hand sign or even a specific voice command.
We are very honored to have been selected as a regional winner of the Smart tech category to participate to the Tech For Future final, the largest startup competition in France (formerly named “10,000 startups to change the world”), in search of the entrepreneurs who are changing the world with “real” innovation, meaningful and useful to society.
The national winners will be revealed on April 6 at the Grand Rex in Paris.
The year 2023 has started for us with our attendance at CES 2023 in Las Vegas.

We were very proud to participate in the Pièces Jaunes 2023 operation to raise funds for projects intended to brighten up the daily life of hospitalized children.
We took part with Buddy in the new campaign to appeal for donations in a video clip, where our robot played alongside exceptional ambassadors: Brigitte Macron, Didier Deschamps, Isabelle Nanty and Camille Combal.
Acting on our scale is very important for our company developing "Robots for Good" to have a positive impact on major societal issues: education, inclusion and the aging population.

We were invited by Jean-Michel Fourgous, President of Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines (SQY) agglomeration, to showcase Buddy during his 2023 Wishes Ceremony. We met with Jean-Noël Barrot, Minister for Digital Transition and Telecommunications, and Valérie Pécresse, President of the Regional Council of Île-de-France, as well as all economic players of SQY to introduce them the “SQYpi” project at the service of the inclusion of children with special educational needs.

Here is the list of the next exhibitions in the coming months where you can come and meet us:
- Mobile World Congress in Barcelona
- BETT in London
